A critical illness rider is an add-on to a life or investment-linked insurance plan that provides financial support if you’re diagnosed with a covered critical illness. Instead of replacing your main policy, it pays a lump sum or staged benefits to help cover medical costs, recovery expenses, or income loss during treatment.

Unlike traditional critical illness insurance, which typically focuses on a one-time payout upon diagnosis of a covered critical illness, Manulife MultiCI Enrich is designed to provide broader support across different stages of a covered event. It offers coverage across early, intermediate and advanced stages, with multiple claims allowed subject to policy terms. In addition, it includes Admission Event benefits for qualifying ICU stays or prolonged hospitalisation with surgery, as well as Early Cancer Detection benefit for eligible MCED testing performed in hospital.

Manulife MultiCI Enrich provides coverage across early, intermediate and advanced stages of covered events, with multiple payouts subject to policy terms:

• Early & Intermediate Stages: 50% of Face Amount, up to RM300,000 per claim, with a maximum of 4 claims.
• Advanced Stage: 100% of Face Amount. For each Cancer, Heart Attack and Stroke (including Second Critical Illness Events), up to 200% across all stages, subject to aggregate maximum of 400%.
• Total payout: up to 800% of Face Amount before age 80 next birthday; on or after age 80 next birthday, up to 100% of Face Amount remains available regardless of previously admitted claims.
• Additional benefits include Double Protection for eligible Second Cancer, Second Heart Attack and Second Stroke claims, Early Cancer Detection (MCED), and Admission Event benefits for qualifying ICU stays or prolonged hospitalisation with surgery.
