After graduation, I spent four years in early childhood education and seven years selling credit cards at a bank. Day after day, I wondered if I would have to continue this path for life.

Admittedly, I was hesitant about insurance. Sales can be daunting, and being pitched to is uncomfortable. Yet when life hit a crossroads and I felt tired, my leader Kian patiently showed me how the industry works and how we can truly help people.

The bank’s so-called “iron rice bowl” wasn’t the future I wanted. So I chose to take a leap of faith and give my best to avoid being defeated by life.

What comforted me most were the clients who believed in me from day one. Watching myself grow and repeatedly take the stage to receive awards confirmed I hadn’t chosen the wrong path.

This year marks a decade with Manulife—ten years of growth, confidence, and transformation. This industry has forged my life: my skills, mindset, and commitment to service.
