Post COVID-19 Vaccination Support

Manulife Insurance Berhad (“Manulife”) will be providing a complimentary Post COVID-19 Vaccination Support benefit to the person covered under the medical plans* offered by Manulife. Details as below:

Coverage Period

Start : 24 May 2021 

End:  31 December 2021

Benefits

Reimbursement of medical bills incurred due to serious adverse effect(s) from immunisation (“AEFI”) within 14 days after receiving an approved COVID-19 Vaccine, capped at maximum limit of RM5,000 per life. 

*Eligibility Person covered under the medical plan offered by Manulife that does not cover post COVID-19 vaccination, i.e. medical plans that carry an exclusion which excludes any cost of hospitalisation due to preventive treatment/preventive medicines. 
Term & Conditions
  • “COVID-19 Vaccine” shall refer any COVID-19 vaccines (including the first dose and subsequent doses) that is approved by the Ministry of Health (MOH) or relevant Malaysian authorities and must be carried out at a location designated by MOH in Malaysia.

  •  “Serious AEFI” shall refer to any medical conditions that is life-threatening, which may result in persistent or significant disability/incapacity and requires in-patient hospitalisation, for medical intervention to prevent permanent impairment or damage.

  • The amount to be reimbursed under this benefit shall be subject to the eligible expenses entitled as per Benefit Schedule of the respective medical policies.

  • Other terms and conditions of the medical policy such as the standard Waiting Period shall apply.

  • Manulife reserves the right to change the terms and conditions from time to time and/or terminate this complimentary benefit earlier, should the prevailing conditions and circumstances change.

This benefit is designed for our customers’ whose medical plans do not cover any medical conditions that is due to post COVID-19 vaccination. For those customers with medical plan without the exclusion of preventive treatment/preventive medicines, they are covered for post COVID-19 vaccination as per Benefit Schedule of the respective medical policies.
