1. First things first, does my medical card cover the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) infection?

Good news, the answer is YES! Individual who is seeking treatment related to COVID-19 within Malaysia will be covered by the Manulife’s medical plans.

In addition, Manulife has just pledged a RM1 million Special Financial Assistance Programme to assist their customers who is diagnosed with coronavirus disease (COVID-19). For example, a daily benefit of RM200 will be payable for each day of hospitalisation upon diagnosis of COVID-19 and quarantine at any of the Ministry of Health Malaysia designated hospitals. 2. Everybody is kung-FLU fighting—so how much medical insurance coverage is enough?

Weird viruses aside, did you know medical inflation has been climbing steadily to the tune of around 12% per annum? 4. What if I am hospitalised for a really long time?

5. How many hospitals are covered?

Manulife has over 100 panel hospitals throughout the country which allow medical plan policyholder to enjoy hassle free hospital admission. In addition, you will also have Emergency Assistance services at your disposal, in case of any medical emergencies. 

 

6. What if I need a second medical opinion?
